This period would be carried out at the government's quarantine facilities. Individuals entering Vietnam had to isolate for at least 14 days for if unvaccinated, and seven days if fully vaccinated. Hồ Chí Minh City is the most-affected locale with 427,162 confirmed cases and 16,632 deaths, but the Vietnam Ministry of Health estimated that the real number of cases may be four to five times higher. As of 29 October 2021, Vietnam has officially reported 910,376 laboratory confirmed cases cases, 816,132 recoveries, and 21,966 deaths, the 4th highest in Southeast Asia.
